Entry Deadline is April 1, 2019

CALL TO ARTISTS:

How is climate change affecting you? Your community? The world around you?
What ideas do you have to create positive change?

We don’t want to hear your ideas, we want to SEE your ideas!

At the Root has teamed up with 350 VT to creatively address climate change and honor Earth Day.

Make a diorama about the causes, effects, or ways to remedy climate change in our world. Dioramas can be any size up to 4’x4’.
Submissions are due by April 1st by attherootvt@gmail.com

There is a submission fee of $15, and all dioramas will be available to the public for sale for the duration of the show. Artists will receive 50% of the sales price or have the option to donate the full sales price to 350VT.

(Dioramas should be 25 lbs or less, or be created to  be shown on a pedestal if over 25lbs)

Submission forms can be downloaded at: https://goo.gl/forms/TeYvu6j84pmFnIcI3

The final show will be on Thursday April 18th at the Hive on Pine St, from 6-9pm.
A representative from 350 VT will be onsite with some experiences from the
Climate Walk, April 5-9 and to share ways you can get involved.

Please complete and return the entry form to At the Root via email or in person.
Methods of payment include cash and check.
Checks should be made payable to At the Root.
No refunds will be given if you choose not to participate,
or if you do not complete a piece on time.
Please include a tag with your name on your piece.

SUBJECT MATTER: This is an opportunity for you to get creative, and 3-D, about your views on the cause, effects, and future of climate change.
It can be scientific, political, specific or broad. We hope it will be educational.
Re-purposed and natural materials strongly encouraged.

RECEIVING: Artwork must be dropped off on April 13th & 14th. Drop-off hours will be announced closer to the weekend. Drop-off location will be at the Hive on Pine St.
